Abbey Rude
Legislative & Policy Director
Abbey Rude joined the Alliance of Health Insurers in 2024 after holding several positions in the Wisconsin State Legislature over the last decade. In her most recent role as a top policy advisor to the state’s longest-serving Assembly Speaker, Robin Vos, Abbey collaborated with lawmakers and legislative staff, state agency officials, and other stakeholders on major policy initiatives, with a focus on health care and insurance-related issues. Abbey also has extensive political experience, having worked on several successful Assembly campaigns during her time in politics.
Abbey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a certificate in European Studies. She is also an alumna of the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) and was part of a small delegation sent to Europe in 2022.
