Bill would require equal insurance coverage for oral chemotherapy in Wisconsin

Not all types of cancers are treated the same.

That’s not only the case when it comes to treatment options but how insurance companies choose to cover those options.

While a majority of cancers are treated in hospital or clinic settings through intravenous chemotherapy treatment, a growing number could be treated by taking a pill. But despite targeting cancer cells and not resulting in lost hair or nausea, oral chemotherapy is not covered by insurance in many cases.
